Abstract:
Terry Johnson’s career includes engineering and management roles in magnetic recording at IBM, Memorex, before he and colleagues developed the “SuperDisk”, a high-end, rotary actuator drive program absorbed by Storage Technology, where he managed HDD programs until 1980. He founded Miniscribe, a pioneer manufacturer of 5.25 inch HDDs, and PrairieTek, the first maker of 2.5 inch drives. He was also involved in starting CoData, a co-founder of Conner Peripherals.
