Roy Applequist’s background in mechanical engineering has involved significant working experience at IBM, Lockheed, Memorex, Disk Systems Corporation and Miniscribe. Notable has been his innovation in magnetic disk head positioning systems, including early development of rotary actuators, which are now used on all magnetic disk drives.
