Abstract:
Feng-Hsiung Hsu started his graduate work at Carnegie Mellon University in the field of computer chess in 1985. Prior to building IBM's supercomputer Deep Blue that defeated World Chess Champion Garry Kasparov in 1997, Hsu worked on many other chess computers, including ChipTest, ChipTest-M, Deep Thought and Deep Thought II.
